If you are able to help with a recount, here are times needed:
Thursday 4/14: 8:30 AM to Noon
Friday 4/15: 8:30 AM to Noon - 1 PM to 5PM
Monday 4/18: 8:30 AM to Noon - 1 PM to 5PM
Tuesday 4/19: 8:30 AM to Noon
Wednesday 4/20: 8:30 AM to Noon - 1 PM to 5PM
Thursday 4/21: 8:30 AM to Noon - 1 PM to 5PM
Friday 4/22: 8:30 AM to Noon
I don't expect it to go that long, but I would like to line people up.
Tom & I have been pulling each others ballots as they appear they might not scan - that is all we are interested in.
The process has been:
1. Allow the canvassers to count and reconcile ballots.
2. Look at ballots individually as the canvassers page through them. This is where the observer comes in. We just say "pull" when a ballot appears to not have a fully colored in ballot spot. the hand count of ballots does not take long, so we have been going with - 'if its close - pull it.'
3. The pulled ballots are hand counted while the others are run through the machine.
4. Numbers are reconciled and recorded.
5. The next ballot bag is opened. And the process is repeated.
